Visitors

Welcome to Edisto Beach, a coastal paradise on the Atlantic coast of South Carolina!  Whether you are a returning visitor or new to Edisto Beach, we want you to have an enjoyable stay.

The Town of Edisto Beach is one of the few remaining family-oriented beaches with limited commercialization.  Our lifestyle is best described as "relaxed".  Entertainment on Edisto Beach is limited.  Visitors enjoy walks on the beach, jogging, biking, kayaking, cookouts and occasionally a fast-paced game of Bingo. The beach also has  golf, if that's more your style. If you have never visited Edisto Beach and are looking for a fast-paced place to vacation with lots of entertainment, Edisto Beach may not be your ideal vacation destination.

Nothing can ruin a vacation quicker than receiving a violation, so please review our beach regulations, golf cart rules, and town ordinances before you visit.

A lot of valuable information can be also be found under "Things You Should Know".

Please leave only your footprints each day when you leave the beachPick up your waste and remove all items from the beach daily.  Remember no lights can be visible from the beach from May through October

Have Fun!

Edisto begins with a bridge that spans the Intra-coastal waterway, and welcomes travelers with live oaks draped in Spanish moss and the pungent smell of pluff mud. Edisto is known for its beauty as much as for the people who make Edisto their home, whether that be for a week or for a lifetime. DVD run time is 33:34. Cost $5.00ea

Edisto Shrimp Fest T-shirts: The Town of Edisto Beach sponsored the Edisto Shrimp Fest on September 19th, 2011. This event also marked the grand opening of the Bay Creek Park featuring the Heritage Center. Bay Creek Park is located on Big Bay Creek which has been the home to shrimpers, crabbers, oyster gatherers, fishermen and pleasure boaters for generations. Edisto is proud to have many families here on both Edisto Beach and Edisto Island who have contributed to the  heritage of the shrimping industry. This park is founded on the property that was part of the shrimping industry and the Heritage Center located in the park reflects a tribute to this once thriving industry. Today Edisto is still fortunate to have a few dedicated families who carry on the shrimping legacy. You are invited to come and enjoy Bay Creek Park and take a stroll down the waterfront boardwalk, fish or crab on the dock, enjoy the beautiful fauna and flora and just relax the "Edislow" way. These unique t-shirts feature the South Carolina state emblem slightly altered on the front left; to pay tribute to the shrimping industry the moon has been subtly replaced by a shrimp. The back displays a friendly blue crab with an appetite, clutching a shrimp in its claw. Sizes available include Adult Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, and 2X-Large. Cost $15.00ea

Edisto Shrimp Fest Color-Changing Souvenir Cups: Also available from the Edisto Shrimp Fest are unique color-changing souvenir cups. These 17oz "mood" cups turn from fluorescent yellow to a blue-green color when a cold beverage is added. They are top rack dishwasher safe and feature the same logos printed on the Edisto Shrimp Fest t-shirts. Cost $1.00ea
