Hurricane Idalia/Message #2

As of earlier this morning, Hurricane Idalia is approximately 685 miles southwest of Beaufort, SC. A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Edisto Beach, as well as a Storm Surge Watch. 

The latest forecast predicts 45 mph sustained winds with gusts to 60 mph. The window for the winds is Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning. 

The storm surge inundation possibility is 2-4 feet above ground, with the window of concern occurring Wednesday afternoon until early Thursday morning. 

The rainfall possibility is 4-8 inches. Flooding is expected. 

Please prepare your homes for these possible impacts. The time to prepare is NOW.
