Winter Storm Update 1/23/2025
The weather conditions continue to pose issues for our roads. As expected, the roads experienced re-freezing overnight, and the same is expected for tonight (January 23) as the temperatures are expected to be below freezing once again. The National Weather Service has noted that another Cold Weather Advisory may be issued later today. Please keep up-to-date on weather conditions by using this link: NWS Charleston, SC - Weather Briefing
Palmetto Boulevard and our side streets still have snow/ice, as does Highway 174 and the McKinley Washington Jr. Bridge. SCDOT is doing what it can, but these areas have not been plowed or treated yet. DOT is planning to plow and treat these roads either later today or tomorrow morning. Please be safe and stay off the roads, if possible.
Town Hall will open for business on Friday, January 24, at 10:00 a.m. and will close as usual at 4:30 p.m.
The Town’s Convenience Center is operating today on its normal schedule, with drive-in drop-off from 1:30-6:00 p.m.
Please note the Food Lion is currently open today until approximately 5-6 p.m.
Please be safe!
